“Generational change” within GPs becoming an issue for LPs was an interesting comment from one of the first panels.
The suggestion was made that GPs may lose very experienced people who were possibly looking to get out of the rat race but are now back at their desks, working hard than ever, facing increasing challenges and considering whether they really want to be commiting another 4 or 5 years to the industry.
If they decide not to, and continue with their moves to leave the industry, will LPs have increasing concerns over the levels of expertise available to guide the firms through the tough times?
